The Challenge

This 1985 ranch home had original carpet, outdated oak trim, brass fixtures, popcorn ceilings, and two bathrooms with pink and green tile. The homeowners purchased the home as an investment and wanted a complete modernization without changing the floor plan or doing structural work — a cost-effective refresh that would transform the look and feel of every room.

Our Solution

We developed a phased renovation plan that moved room by room through the entire home over 10 weeks. Both bathrooms received full gut renovations with new tile, vanities, fixtures, and lighting. The kitchen received updated cabinet fronts, new hardware, a quartz countertop overlay, and updated appliances. Popcorn ceilings were removed throughout. All carpet was replaced with luxury vinyl plank flooring. The entire interior was repainted with a coordinated modern palette. All trim was replaced with clean, modern profiles.

The Result

The home looks and feels like new construction despite being 40+ years old. The consistent flooring, coordinated paint, and modern fixtures create a cohesive, updated feel throughout. The homeowners estimate the renovation increased the home's value by 25-30% based on comparable sales in the area.
